No PFAS coatings
No PTFE (Teflon-type) nonstick and no stain-repellent finishes on sheets or throws. It's a precaution, not a scare: I'd rather cook on cast iron, stainless and glass, which last for decades.

The one list of kitchen, pantry and home goods I actually trust. No PFAS coatings, no plastic where your food sits, no gums. Here's what I use, and why.
Why this list exists
So I did the reading once, wrote down what passed, and put it here. Three rules. If a product breaks one, it doesn't appear.
No PTFE (Teflon-type) nonstick and no stain-repellent finishes on sheets or throws. It's a precaution, not a scare: I'd rather cook on cast iron, stainless and glass, which last for decades.
A material preference. Food sits on glass, steel, cast iron, ceramic, wood or platinum silicone. When a lid, cap, filter housing or protein tub is plastic, I say so right on the card.
No xanthan, guar, locust bean, carrageenan or gellan, and no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. They're FDA-permitted additives; I just like ingredient lists I can read in one breath.

The short version of the short list.
How a product makes the list
Full ingredient and material lists. Marketing claims don't count.
Coating chemistry, lid materials, seals. If a brand won't say, it doesn't make it.
Ceramic wears. Some caps are plastic. You'll see it on the card, not buried.
Formulas change. Every product has a "last reviewed" date.
